Today officially kicks off my fitness odyssey! Woo whooo! You know, I honestly don't know how I let myself get to this point. But it is what it is. So now I'm on my way back to being in shape. Hurray! Even though I wish getting back to my former slimmer self could be achieved in an instant, I know it's not possible. This is exactly why I call it a fitness odyssey - odyssey meaning a long, adventurous journey. I know that it'll take time, but I'll get there eventually. The new year is just around the corner, so it's time for a new me as well.
So here I am starting this blog in the hope that it will keep me on the right track and keep me motivated. Here's the deal, I don't lack motivation, but my procrastination and lack of an attention span prevails over my well meaning intentions. So hopeful this blog will enable me to overcome my problems.
I started up an exercise regime again. Well it's not really a regime yet at this point, I haven't really worked out what I want to include or exclude. But in the meantime, I started walking again. I walked for three miles today, it isn't much, but it's a start.
